EAMCET 2014 - Entrance Exam


EAMCET 2014 is the engineering entrance examination conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU) for admissions into undergraduate courses. The exam would be conducted at state level and would offer seats to candidates under various engineering colleges of the state. Exam Pattern


Number of questions in the exam would be 160 (40x2 + 80x1).

Physics – 40, Chemistry – 40, Math – 80 questions.

All questions will have equal marks.

There shall be no negative marking for incorrect response.

One mark will be given for correct answer.

Language medium of the question paper will be English and Telugu.


Eligibility Criteria


Candidate must be an Indian citizen or Overseas citizens of India Card Holders (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).

Candidate must have attained 16 years of age by 31 Dec 2013.

It is required to pass or appear in the class XII qualifying examination.

Allowed subject combination is Physics, Math and Chemistry with English.

Minimum aggregate percentage is 45% (40% for reserved category).


Application Form


Candidates have to fill the application form online on the official website of EAMCET. Candidates have to remit the application fee of Rs.250 via cash or credit/debit card. Also, candidates can pay via AP online, e-seva or Mee-seva centers. Candidates are required to submit the following information correctly and it must be kept handy as well while filling the form:


Date of birth certificate

PH, NCC, Sports documents

Income information of the parents (more or less than 2 lakh annually)

Address proof

Caste certificate (SC,ST,OBC)

Admit Card of SSC, HSC or equivalent


Process of Filling Application Form


Open the official website of EAMCET.

Fill all the information correctly and verify thereafter.

Make the payment of application fee in prescribed mode.

Submit the form and take printout of the form which will mention unique registration number.


Admit Card


Candidates can download the official website of EAMCET around mid week of April 2014. It is necessary to bring the admit card to the examination hall, without which candidates would not be allowed to participate in the examination. Also, admit card must be preserved till the admission process is over. No alteration of information must be made on the admit card.
