Amrita University 2014 Exam


To provide admissions into engineering undergraduate courses, Amrita University will conduct the AUEEE 2014 for session 2014-15. The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode on 13 April 2014. Candidates would be allotted seats according to their score in the examination to either any of the three campuses located at Bangalore, Coimbatore and Amritapuri OR any college affiliated to the university.

Application Form


The form can be filled from 16 Dec 2013 to 24 Mar 2014.

The sale of application form will end on 21 Mar 2014.

Candidates can acquire application form by the modes given below:

Post:

Send a request letter affixed with a demand draft of Rs.1000 to the address of Amrita University. On the reverse of draft, write address, name and phone number. On the front side of the envelope, write “B.Tech. Application”. Keep safe of two copies of the DD and the request letter.

In person:

Purchase the application form through university counter of Amrita School of Engineering on submitting Rs.1000.

Sale centers:

From assigned post offices and bank branches as authorized sale centers.

Fill the application form on the official Amrita University website. Generate its printout and deliver to the address given below along with a demand draft of Rs.1000

Eligibility Conditions


Candidates date of birth must be in or after July 1993.

He/she must have minimum aggregate in class XII in PCM stream, 55%. It is also required to score 60% separately in these subjects.

A candidate with diploma from a state or central recognized institute is eligible as well. He/she must score minimum aggregate 60%.


Exam Pattern


Total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Language medium of the paper is English.

Questions would be composed from Physics, Chemistry and Math (class XI and XII syllabus).

3 marks will be given for correct answer.

Questions would be objective type, multiple choice questions (1 correct option, 3 wrong options).

Total marks is 360

1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Total number of questions is 120 (Math – 50 questions, Physics – 35, Chemistry – 35).


Counselling


In the counselling, candidates would make choices of desired campus and other affiliated colleges according to priority. On the basis of choices made, exam result, availability of seats and categorical reservation, seats would be offered. A call letter would be sent to the selected candidate for counselling process. While coming for the counselling, candidates are required to bring all the necessary and relevant certificates and documents.
